VUHS Student is State of the Union Essay Contest Finalist

State of the Union Essay Finalist
Senator Bernie Sanders’ annual State of the Union Essay Contest is designed to engage Vermont’s high school students on the major issues facing the country. Over the past six years, students from schools throughout Vermont have written essays to the senator about important issues such as the declining middle class, climate change, health care reform and the rising cost of a college education. Of the more than 650 submissions to the State of the Union Essay Contest, Mason Charlebois, VUHS Class of 2018, was selected as one of the top 20 finalists! He will join Bernie Sanders and the other finalists at the State House for a roundtable discussion on February 4th. Congratulations Mason!
