On April 13th, 32 VUHS juniors and seniors and three teachers started their adventures to Germany. They first spent three days in Berlin, where they saw the Brandenburg Gate, Holocaust Memorial, Reichstag, Winged Victory, TV tower, Tiergarten, Gedächtniskirche, as well as other sights around Berlin.
Afterwards, they took the train to Bochum, where they met their host families. Each student and teacher stayed with a German family for ten days. They experienced what it was like to live in a German family. They traveled to Düsseldorf, Cologne and Münster as well.
If you have a chance to go on the exchange, students all recommend it. You must have completed German Two to go, but more German is recommended. See Frau Kepes for more information.
